Total Arts Day Camp

Total Arts Day Camp is a hands-on creative adventure where young artists build skills, confidence, and a lifelong love of the visual arts. Founded in 1971 by artist Judy Onofrio, this beloved program continues her legacy of curiosity, creativity, and learning for students ages 6–11.

At Total Arts Day Camp (TADC), children spend their days imagining, experimenting, and creating original works of art. Guided by professional artists, campers explore painting, drawing, mixed media, sculpture, and more, all while learning how artists express ideas and respond to the world around them. From touring the galleries to embarking on a public art scavenger hunt, every day offers new discoveries and inspiration.

The week culminates in a celebratory Student Art Showcase each Friday, where families are invited to see the incredible artwork their child has created and celebrate their growth and creativity together. It’s a moment campers look forward to all week and one parents won’t want to miss.

Camp runs Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM and Friday from 9:00 AM – 1:30 PM, with the Student Art Showcase beginning at 1:00 PM. Spaces fill quickly, so join us and give your child an unforgettable summer of art at Rochester Art Center!

Member Early Access

Total Arts Day Camp is one of our most popular programs, selling out quickly every year. As a valued member, you’ll enjoy early access to registration starting February 2, 2026—giving you a better chance to secure your child’s spot before it fills up.

Tuition

$400/week per student | General Public

$350/week per student | Members at the $100 Explorer Level or higher

Scholarships

A limited number of need-based scholarships will be offered.

Refund Policy

Cancellations made before May 1, 2026 will receive a full refund. Due to high demand, a $100 cancellation fee will be assessed for any registrations cancelled after May 1.

Please note: Campers may only register to attend one week-long session per summer.
