Visitor Experience Associate

Part-time (non-exempt, hourly), 12 - 18 hours per week, $15 per hour
Wednesdays, Thursday, Saturday-Sunday, 10:30am-4:30pm and at other scheduled times as needed

Works alongside the other Visitor Experience Associates and Gallery Shop Curator and reports to the Advancement Director

Overview
The Rochester Art Center is excited to welcome a Visitor Experience Associate to our small, thoughtful, mighty team! 

The Visitor Experience Associate is the first person patrons meet when they enter the Art Center or call for information. This role supports the Advancement Director to further awareness of the organization’s mission, programs and achievements. It requires strong customer service aptitude and interest in the arts.


Responsibilities
Welcome visitors on Saturdays and Sundays (our busiest days of the week)

Track attendance

Use Square to process sales and track merchandise

Help ensure that the front desk, Gallery Shop and galleries are presentable at all times

Answer phone calls and emails

Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications
Strong verbal communication skills in English

Proficient in or willing to learn Google Suite

Ability to communicate in person, by radio, electronically and over the phone

Customer service experience

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities
