No reservations required.


Explore Rochester through art with a variety of guided tours offered by Rochester Art Center throughout the year. From outdoor public sculpture tours to gallery experiences and downtown art explorations, our tours invite visitors to connect more deeply with artists, public spaces, and current exhibitions. Most tours are free with admission and open to all, with no reservations required. Tours last approximately 45 minutes.

Outdoor Public Art Tours

Select Sundays

Meeting Location: Rochester Art Center

Time: 1:00 PM | Free

Join us for a guided look at the public artwork in Mayo Park, adjacent to Rochester Art Center. Tours begin at the Art Center's main entrance (Door 23 of Mayo Civic Center) and continue along a paved path along the Zumbro River.


Participants gain a deeper understanding of Rochester’s innovative Art4Trails program while exploring works by exceptional artists including Charles Huntington, James Earl Fraser, and Po Shu Wang.


Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. In the case of inclement weather, an indoor gallery tour will be offered.

Peace Plaza Public Art Tours

Select Thursdays

Meeting location: Outside Chateau Theatre

Time: 1:00 PM | Free

Discover the extraordinary works of art throughout Peace Plaza, Rochester’s “Heart of the City.” These approximately 45-minute tours feature works by local and internationally renowned artists including Charles E. Gagnon, Gwen Westerman, and Ann Hamilton.


Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. In the case of inclement weather, tours will be canceled.
