Total Arts Day Camp 2024

 

Total Arts Day Camp is all about building young artist’s skills and confidence in the visual arts. Created in 1971 by artist Judy Onofrio, we are pleased to continue her legacy of learning and creativity for students ages 6 - 11. 

 

At Total Arts Day Camp (TADC) your child will engage in creating their own artworks, learning from professional artists, and thinking about the world around them. Students will gain skills in painting, drawing, mixed media sculpture making and more! They will tour the galleries, go on a public art scavenger hunt and explore why and how artists use different materials. Every Friday we’ll offer parents the chance to gather for a showcase presented by the students where they will display their amazing creations. TADC is for students ages 6 - 11 years old. Students must be of the minimum required age before their first day of camp in 2024. TADC uses a mixed-ages classroom approach to encourage peer modeling among students. Please choose one, week-long session that fits best into your schedule, please note that curriculum will be the same each week of TADC 2024. We politely ask parents/guardians to register their child(ren) for only one session per summer, so our artists and camp staff may serve the greatest amount of students we possibly can throughout the summer break. Everyone deserves a chance to experience the arts!

9:00 AM  - 1:30 PM on Fridays ("early out" due to the family showcase!) 

 

Tuition per week

General Audience: $225 per student

Art Center Explorer* Membership: $200 per student

 

*Member discount on TADC tuition for “Explorer” level members or higher. If you hold the “Contributor” or “Supporter” membership level, contact Advancement Director, Kali Morrison at kmorrison@rochesterartcenter.org to ask how to increase your membership level!
