Figure Drawing
Select Tuesdays & Wednesdays | 6:00- 8:00 PM

Figure Drawing
Join us for monthly figure drawing sessions featuring a live model. Sessions alternate between:
Traditional Figure Drawing (nude model) on select Tuesdays, 6 - 8 PM
Costumed Figure Drawing on the following Wednesdays, 6 - 8 PM
Discover the art of drawing from life in these open sessions, welcoming artists and enthusiasts ages 18+, from beginners to experienced sketchers. Each session features a live model—nude, semi-clothed, or in costume—offering a variety of poses to inspire your work. We’ll start with short, energetic gesture poses to warm up, then move into longer holds for deeper observation and detail.
What to bringÂ
Your own paper pad and favorite drawing materials (oil paint is not permitted). We provide easels, drawing horses, and a welcoming space designed for creative focus. Headphones and water bottles are welcome. Please note: no photography is permitted. Doors open at 5:45 PM to allow participants time to settle before the session starts.
Your registration directly supports the live model and the mission of the Rochester Art Center—YOUR community non-profit for connection, creativity, and the arts.
