Join us for a for a hybrid workshop led by current exhibiting artist Ryan Woodring and facilitated by Jacob Smithburg.
In this 2 hour long workshop, participants will learn 3D sculpting techniques in Blender (free software) including how to setup an ideal sphere, squash, sculpt, or stretch spheres based on personal connections with participant’s own body/states of illness or wellness.
Participants will create a set of 3D modelled candies, inspired by Woodring’s artwork Today and Possibly Tomorrow.Â
Participants are expected to bring their own computer and mouse. The Art Center will provide tables, seating, extension cords, outlets and wifi. The workshop is offered in hybrid format: participants will meet in the Art Center’s classroom (third floor) and will interact with the artist on zoom.Â
This workshop is part of the programming for Face in Clouds, invisible ink is a solo exhibition by Ryan Woodring curated by Zoe Cinel and will be on view from September 13, 2025 to April 2026. Gallery hours: Wednesday - Sunday 11am - 4pm.Â
