Artist Spotlight Tour with Dahn Gim
Sunday, November 16 at 1pm
Join Dahn Gim, a multidisciplinary artist based in Minneapolis and Los Angeles, for a guided tour of her work in Extraordinary Elsewhere. Gim’s installation Between Carriage and Collapse (2025) and accompanying sculptures Still Carrier (2025) trace the fragile systems that carry bodies, identities, and belongings—and the points at which those systems begin to fray. Using red-white-blue nylon “migrant bags,” concrete blocks, and industrial straps, Gim transforms utilitarian materials into precarious structures that reflect endurance, vulnerability, and the quiet labor of staying held. In this Artist Spotlight Tour, Gim will share insights into her process and practice, inviting visitors to consider the contradictions of migration, precarity, and resilience. Free with admission; no reservations required.
Dahn Gim's work is featured in the group exhibition Extraordinary Elsewhere, on view in the Main Gallery until February 1st, 2026.
