In this mixed media animation, a park ranger who maintains a 150-foot monument of George Washington Carver falls for a National Fiber Optics PR representative. The two discuss the relationship between their lives and their work.
This animation combines stop-motion puppetry, a replica bronze monument, ink wash painted environments, and 3D rendering tools. A Vue includes an original score by Abby Schneider.
Mosley is Associate Professor of Fine Arts at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a recipient of the Joseph H. Hazen Rome Prize, the Pew FEllowship in the Arts, the Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation Award, and the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts Fellowship. His work has been shown at the 2007 Venice Biennale, the Museum of Modern Art NY, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Philadephia Museum of Art, and the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, among others.
