Join us for a look at the public artwork surrounding the Rochester Art Center. This outdoor walking tour will meet at 1:00 PM at the main entrance to the Art Center, door 23 of the Mayo Civic Center on the plaza. Starting with The Artist by metal sculptor Richard Brubaker and ending with Circumcenter by Po Shu Wang.
Wear comfortable walking shoes. In the case of inclement weather, an indoor tour of Rochester Art Center galleries will be offered.
What is the "Art4Trails" program?
Art4Trails is a public art initiative to promote local artists and enhance our public parks by installing original art along the walking and bike trail system near downtown Rochester, MN.

Explore the sculptures, architecture styles, and the lasting impact of Peace Plaza in an area dubbed the “Heart of the City.” This outdoor walking tour will meet at 1:00 PM in front of the Historic Chateau Theater Building, 15 First Street SW. Starting with Peace Fountain by Charles E. Gagnon and A Song For Water by Ann Hamilton.
Public Art Walking Tours last approximately 45 minutes. Wear comfortable walking shoes.

Local artist Eric Anderson discusses his impactful, site-specific work Wakefield as it relates to Mayo Clinic and other works of art by Anne Hamilton, Charles Gagnon and Iñigo Manglano-Ovalle, located in Rochester's newly-renovated Peace Plaza.
Tour meets downtown at Peace Plaza, in front of the historic Chateau Theatre near Chester’s outdoor dining.

Local artist Samantha Reiter-Johnson discusses her new murals on a set of utility boxes in Mayo Park. This even is free and all are welcome.
About the Artist
Samantha is a self-taught artist and plant enthusiast who combined her passions for art and nature to form @chlorocreations. Using primarily colored pencils, Samantha applies the same attention to detail in her drawings as she does in her day job as a cell biologist.
