Music Absolute and Referential: A Chamber Music Concert Featuring  Dancer Marren Hemmingson and New Music by David Kassler for Piano Trio

This concert includes two new works:  Pictures at An Exhibition for Flute, Violin, Piano, Euphonium and Dancer and Piano Trio in G for Flute, Violin and Piano. The music will be performed by Donivan Hill (Flute), Kathleen Covalt (Violin), David Kassler (Euphonium) and Tianyao Xie (Piano). 

Audience members will be asked to draw images, or write down thoughts that occur to them when Pictures at an Exhibition is performed. These will then be displayed at the end of the program as a collaborative art work between audience and performers.
