Join us for an exciting evening at Rochester Art Center as we celebrate three captivating new exhibitions. Experience the serene beauty of A World That Breathes Behind Itself featuring new paintings and etched glass drawings by Melanie Pankau. Immerse yourself in Rima: Passages in Sephardic Sculpture, a multisensory exhibition, evoking feelings of home and sacred places by Rotem Tamir. Witness the interplay of visual art and dance in JEALOUSY/SWAY, a collision of artistic impulses featuring Ryan Fontaine, Rachel Youn, Rachel Collier, Julia Garcia and Emma Beatrez. Just for the reception night, experience a dance performance by HIJACK, including Kristin Van Loon, Arwen Wilder and Jules Bither. Enjoy a refreshing mocktail upon arrival, delicious light bites, cash bar, a smorgasbord of contemporary art and a party with DJ Yonci.

Accessibility

Rochester Art Center strives to be welcoming and accessible for all people. Guests are encouraged to arrive fragrance free. All spaces are wheelchair and stroller accessible. The building has an elevator and three flights of stairs.  Personal care assistants are invited to view the galleries with their companion free of charge. Service animals are welcomed. There are two all gender restrooms located on the second floor. Diverse seating options are available in the galleries and during programs. A designated quiet space will be available on the 3rd floor.


Parking

The Civic Center Ramp has designated accessible parking spaces and is located on the west side of Civic Center Drive across the street from the art center and is attached by a climate-controlled skyway. There are a few designated accessible parking spots under the skyway into the building on Civic Center Drive and on the Center Street bridge near Mayo Field.
