Exhibition Description

Inspired by the UN Enable Day, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities is an event that promotes an understanding of disability issues and mobilizes support for the dignity, rights, and well-being of persons with disabilities. This annual celebration will be hosted by MaxAbility with the support from multiple partners on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at the Chateau Theatre in Downtown Rochester. The event showcases an art exhibit coordinated by Southeast MN Center for Independent Living (SEMCIL).

The Rochester Art Center is excited to be a partner for the 6th annual celebration by hosting a display of some of the artworks that were originally part of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. These include the awarded artworks, jurors’ picks and a selection by the Art Center’s Curator, Zoe Cinel.
