Programs

Each year, Rochester Art Center offers a large variety of youth and adult education programs. These exceptional offerings include classes, workshops, film screenings, lectures, and gallery tours for all ages. Programs are designed to encourage an understanding and appreciation of the visual arts. Youth programs, such as Total Arts Day Camp, provide valuable hands-on art experiences under the direction of professional Art Center Educators and also through guest artists. For more information about tour and workshop opportunities, or to schedule a private group tour or workshop, see below.

Rochester Art Center is pleased to offer public and private gallery tours and workshops for schools, community groups, and families. Our knowledgeable staff of educators are available to lead tours and stimulate conversation about the exhibitions. Each summer, the Art Center is proud to offer Total Arts Day Camp (TADC), where youth engage in creating their own artworks, learning from professional artists, and thinking about the world around them. Through a one week-long session, students build artist’s skills and confidence in the visual arts. Several sessions are offered each summer and provide flexible enrollment options for families with students going into grades 1-6. The final day of each session concludes with a showcase presented by the students for their families. TADC was initiated in 1971 by artist Judy Onofrio, and we are pleased to continue her legacy of learning and creativity for youth.
