The Rochester Art Center has opportunities for volunteers, interns, and artists. Artists are encouraged to participate in the Southeast Minnesota Artists Exhibition Series or the 3rd Floor Emerging Artist Series. Job opportunities are posted as positions are announced.
Volunteer
Volunteers are integral to the programming at Rochester Art Center. There are many volunteer opportunities for a wide range of skills. If you are interested in supporting the Rochester Art Center with your skills, please visit the volunteer page and download an application.
Docent
A docent is a trained volunteer interested in sharing their knowledge and passion for art. Docents conduct tours of the exhibitions for visitors. The Rochester Art Center now offers an intensive 6-month training program and ongoing training with each exhibition cycle that provides an overview of modern and contemporary art history, teaching methods and public speaking. For more information call 507-282-8629.

Qualified Interns will assist in education, marketing, development, and facility areas while gaining valuable museum experience. Qualified interns are interested in the arts and able to commit to 5-10 hours per week. Internships may be applied for college or high school course credit.
