Host your next party at the Rochester Art Center for a unique and memorable experience for any young artist! Have fun doing hands-on art activities that will spark creativity and send guests home with a hand-made party favor.
Designed for 4 –12 year old party guests.
Includes:
· 3-hour rental of one studio classroom (1/2 hour for set-up, 2 hours for activities,1/2 for clean-up)
· Tables and chairs (including set-up and tear-down)
· Choice of 1 of 4 pre-determined, instructor lead art activities for up to 15 children (including supplies)
· Docent tour of current Art Center exhibitions
· Approved adhesive to hang décor (if needed)
Requirements:
· 2 adult chaperones for every 15 children
· Party guests should come dressed for a mess
· Arty Parties may not take place during Free Family Days (first Saturday of each month) and must fall within Rochester Art Center public hours
· All food and beverage must be provided by a pre-approved caterer (with the sole exception of a celebration cake)

Choose one of the following activities:
MASK MAKING
Decorate your own pre-formed mask as your favorite scary feline or awesome Autobot!
Materials: kid-safe scissors, non-toxic glue, paper mask, feathers, felt, tempera paint, paint brushes, construction paper and miscellaneous items
FINGER PUPPETS
Create adorable little finger puppets. When you’re done, put on a play with your new creations!
Materials: kid-safe scissors, non-toxic glue, cotton gloves, non-toxic fabric paint, googly eyes and felt
ANIMAL SCULPTURES
Create a miniature version of your favorite zoo animal. Then paint on the stripes, fur and feathers!
Materials: air-dry clay, beads, paintbrushes and tempera paint
UP, UP AND AWAY!
Assemble and decorate your very own kite.
Materials: kid-safe scissors, hot glue gun, craft paper, wooden dowels, string, tempera paint and paint brushes
CUSTOM ACTIVITY
Art instructors may be able to design a custom activity if you have something specific in mind.
