An Art Center docent will be available in the Main Gallery to answer questions and discuss the artwork on display.
A docent is a trained museum volunteer who acts as both a teacher and a guide. Feel free to ask any and many questions to your docent about the exhibitions!
When exhibitions are closed, please call the Art Center at 507.282.8629 to schedule a tour focusing on the architecture and history of the Rochester Art Center.

ARTWALK
First Thursday of Each Month • 7 – 10 pm
We are the first stop on Rochester’s newest downtown progressive event! The Rochester Downtown Alliance along with downtown merchants and local artists present an evening ARTWALK. Enjoy the fresh air while you experience all that downtown has to offer.
Purchase a 2008 Signature ARTWALK Cup for $12 and receive a special goodie at each of the participating venues.

The Rochester Art Center will host a dance party for the whole family. DJs
David Parisi & Scott Stulen will spin dance music geared especially for kids of all ages. Costumes are encouraged and fun prizes will be awarded for the best costumes, most creative dance moves and more! Move your body and dance the night away!
In addition to dancing, families will have the opportunity to view our current exhibition Roman Signer: Works, create funny masks and screenprint your very own kidDISCO logo t-shirt.
In addition to recieving discounted admission to kidDISCO, visitors with a 2008 Rochesterfest button will have FREE admission to view the exhibitions and 10% off all purchases in the Gallery Shop during Rochesterfest, June 21 – 29.
