fashion illustration Saturday, 10 am – 12 pm
In this exciting and trendy workshop, learn about the techniques of fashion illustration, including how to put together styles with sketches and swatches.

painting with oils Saturdays, 12 – 3 pm
Learn the basics of color mixing, value study, and composition in this course designed for beginning & intermediate students. Individual instruction is given at the level of each student’s needs.

Learn how to start your own free blog! Tips on writing posts and adding photography and digital images to your blog will be provided. Bring your own digital camera (with appropriate cables).

art appreciation Tuesdays, 6:30 – 8 pm
This class will help you understand the art world and topics such as art history, art criticism, art museums, and how to look at and talk about art – from classical to contemporary – and how to enjoy the museum experience with friends and family.

painting en plein aire Saturday, April 19, 10 am – 4 pm
This class will focus on what to strive for and the challenges involved in painting outdoors from life, and how to get the most out of each trip. We will also discuss the different types of equipment used for outdoor painting, and some of the reasons for each. Most importantly will be the opportunity to paint from life. We will cover values, composition, design and color as a group as well as on an individual basis.

watercolor II – beginner to intermediate 10 am – 12:30 pm
Building on skills and concepts introduced in Watercolor I, this class will focus on realistic expression of form, structure, texture and color using dry brush watercolor techniques. Students will work from simple plant objects, including leaves and fruit.
winter berries – beginner to advanced 6 – 8:30pm
Holly, rosehips, pepper berry and a variety of wild berries will be the subject of this winter watercolor class.
